UPDATE: A Big Thanks To All the Organizers and Volunteers and Sponsors!
A total of $3950 was donated to the Barnhartvale Community Association for hall renovations.Thanks so much to the Quad Run participants, volunteers, and organizers: Ken, Mike, JT and Terry, as well as the GKAA (Greater Kamloops ATV Association). We would also like to take this opportunity to thank
the Overlander Lions for their generous donations the past 2 years. We are so blessed to have so many organizations making generous contributions to the Hall. Last year, we were able to replace the roof and re-side the exterior of the hall. This year, we are looking forward to purchasing new furnaces, hardwood floors and painting the interior. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Overlander Lions for their generous donations the past 2 years. Registration Starts @ 7:00am - 8-30am
Ride start is 9:00am sharp!
Tickets are $25.00 for non-members and $20.00 for B.C. Quad members, which includes Donuts/ Muffins and Coffee for Breakfast, BBQ Diner consists of Smokies and Hamburgers, bring your own lunch.
Tickets can be purchased at Dallas Petrocan, Happy Valley, Schultz Power Sports, RTR Performance, River City Cycle, Leading Edge Motor Sports, Ken Kineshanko, Mike Pittenger and Rick Vowels.
Bring warm clothing, rain gear etc... Ride is 70km long,
All proceeds from ticket sales go to the Barnhartvale Community Hall for a new floor.
All attending are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the Kamloops Food Bank.
50/50 tickets / Door Prizes / Hugh Raffle items

The Barnhartvale Community Association wishes to thank all the volunteers who donated their time and labour as well as thanking all of the individuals and groups that assisted in the raising of funds for replacing the siding and roof on the association's hall. Your support is valued by the community. The Barnhartvale Community Association is committed to refurbishing this historical building and providing a venue for community based activities. The benefits of having a hall that the community residents can use are immeasurable and further, the activities hosted at the hall help to foster a spirit of oneness within the community which is very rare in our present times.
The new siding and roof this year has been a giant step forward. Stay tuned to this website for upcoming projects that you might be able to help out with. Thanks again to all!

Local residents were surprised to hear Swiss Alphorns over the hills of Barnhartvale just before the Canada Day Holiday! These guests are definitely invited to the next Barnhartvale Coffee House to perform!

Wildfire Erupts
July 27, 2010

Photos from the morning of July 28, 2010 just before water tankers arrive on the scene. The fire was reported at approximately 9 pm on the 27th. By 8am on the 28th NL Radio was reporting that the fire would be under control shortly. The resdients of the Riverview Mobile park were evacuated and evacuation alerts were issued to some parts of East Juniper.
Fire above Dallas Drive was quickly extinguished!
SPRING DANCE AND SILENT AUCTION UPDATE
The spring dance and silent auction was a huge success raising over $4000 dollars from the sale of silent auction items and ticket sales. In the not to distant future the BCA will be re-siding the hall in hardy plank.
The Association would link to acknowledge the support of the following firms and individuals for assisting in the event and encourage residents to support these businesses whenever possible! A big thanks from all of us and the residents!

We have just replaced the roof on the hall and with the funds raised we would like to complete some other exterior and/or interior renovations like new siding, windows, new furnaces and new hardwood flooring.

A big thanks to Franz Donauer. Franz created the new sign for the hall with over 100 hrs of design and labour and has donated it to the Barnhartvale Community Association from the Donauer family.

Hall Renovations
Volunteers Needed!
The hall has a new roof ... and now we are ready to replace the siding! Thanks to the amazing support of so many people in our community, we have raised enough money to replace the siding on the Hall! We are looking for volunteers (all levels of help would be appreciated!) to install the siding on the following weekends: Sept. 11-12 & Sept. 18-19.
