Hall Renovations - Volunteers Needed!
The hall has a new roof ... and now we are ready to replace the siding! Thanks to the amazing support of so many people in our community, we have raised enough money to replace the siding on the Hall! We are looking for volunteers (all levels of help would be appreciated!) to install the siding on the following weekends: Sept. 11-12 & Sept. 18-19. Please contact Don at 250-573-5768 or donandbevtryon@shaw.ca if you can help in any way.

Barnhartvale Coffee House
Join us for great music, coffee and home-baked goodies

Saturday, November 20th
Feature act: Johnson Sandwich
Doors open at 7:00 pm
Music starts at 7:30 pm
Admission $5

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The Barnhartvale Coffee House is looking for a few people who would like to help with some of the jobs required to keep Coffee House going strong.

The coffeehouse volunteers will be experiencing a change of the guard and we are looking for new volunteers to keep it going. One of our issues is that we need to hire a paid person who lives in Barnhartvale who would be willing to do the final cleanup the day after the Coffeehouse. We have always hired someone to do that job but find ourselves with no interested people right now. Please call Sylvia 250-372-3923 or Cheryl at 250-573-5719 if you can help out with our worthy non profit organization.

The Hills Are Alive With The Sounds Of Music
Local residents were surprised to hear Swiss Alphorns over the hills of Barnhartvale just before the Canada Day Holiday! These guests are definitely invited to the next Barnhartvale Coffee House to perform!

SPRING DANCE AND SILENT AUCTION UPDATE
The spring dance and silent auction was a huge success raising over $4000 dollars from the sale of silent auction items and ticket sales. In the not to distant future the BCA will be re-siding the hall in hardy plank.

The Association would link to acknowledge the support of the following
firms and individuals for assisting in the event and encourage residents to support these businesses whenever possible! A big thanks from all of us and the residents! Our Supporters
The Mystery Flag! Can You See Two Flags?
Can you find the second flag within the image to the left?
CLICK HERE for a larger photo.
This flag is hosted on the hillside above Todd Road between Rhonde Lane and Lamar. Was it a grad event? Was it a local resident? Who? If you know what patriotic resident(s) (if it was a resident?) hosted the flag and the story behind it send us an email so we can publish it! Don't you love a mystery! Ask your neighbours!
